Shot Green & Violet Pure Silk Kanjivaram Rettapet Saree with Kodi Malar Border & Peacock Lattice Pallu

Shot Green & Violet Pure Silk Kanjivaram Rettapet Saree with Kodi Malar Border & Peacock Lattice Pallu

The colour moves before the motifs do. Green silk catches a stroke of violet as the saree shifts, creating a nuanced double-colour shot body with extraordinary depth.

❖ Woven by hand in Kanchipuram by artisan weaver families, using certified pure silk, in a centuries-old tradition that every purchase helps sustain.

Across this changing field are traditional Mayil and Yaanai motifs, small glints of zari held against the cool-toned silk.

The Rettapet border introduces Kodi Malar, floral creepers tracing the edge in gold. Their movement continues into a richly considered pallu.

There, a fine diamond lattice establishes the geometry, interspersed with Kodi Malar and arranged alongside elegant peacocks. The zari draws particular attention to their sweeping feathered plumage, giving the pallu a sense of movement without losing its symmetry.
