Sandalwood Taupe Pure Silk Kanjivaram Varisaipet Saree with Kamalam Motifs

Sandalwood Taupe Pure Silk Kanjivaram Varisaipet Saree with Kamalam Motifs

The quiet warmth of sandalwood meets the soft grace of pink: an earthy Kanchipuram composition that feels both old-world and unexpectedly contemporary.

❖ Sixteen days at the loom shaped this saree, handwoven in Kanchipuram by artisan weaver families using Silk Mark certified pure silk.

The Varisaipet technique shapes this Kanjivaram in pure mulberry silk, with small Kamalam lotus buttas set in generous space across the sandalwood taupe body and a stacked, richly ornamented border. A saree of this type typically represents approximately 16 or more active days on the loom, with exact weaving time varying according to the individual saree. Handwoven by artisan weaver families in Kanchipuram district, Tamil Nadu, for Idam Living. Read our story.

Border: Nested ribbons of pink and glowing copper-orange with dark contrast bands, gilded botanical details and boldly framed heritage motifs, finished with a fine deep-green selvedge.

Pallu: A richly ornamented pallu that continues the border in traditional handwoven Kanchipuram motif work.

Styling: For a heritage look, pair it with a pink silk blouse and antique-gold jewellery, or try a matching sandstone blouse with a high neckline and a single statement kada. It suits Vijayadashami celebrations, Deepavali pujas, temple occasions and family weddings.
