Sage Green Lightweight Pure Silk Kanchipuram Silk Thread Kattam Saree with Ivory Gold Border
Sage Green Lightweight Pure Silk Kanchipuram Silk Thread Kattam Saree with Ivory Gold Border
A gentle sage green, like the soft new leaves of a garden after rain. This lightweight Kanchipuram silk carries a delicate grid of woven silk-thread kattams, lending a subtle rhythm to its beautifully restrained colour.
The border offers a striking yet graceful contrast. An ivory silk ground is ornamented with fine gold zari patterns, while pale blue-green Thazhampoo Reku detailing forms a row of pointed silhouettes along the transition from body to border. Geometric Mayil Kann-inspired patterning adds another layer of traditional texture.
The pallu is especially lovely: generous parallel bands of gold zari set against ivory silk, with fine lengthwise divisions that give the drape its elegant Ilkal-inspired character.
Style with ivory, muted gold or a softly contrasting green blouse. A saree suited to those who appreciate colour in its quieter, more thoughtful expressions.
Handwoven in pure silk, with the traditional vocabulary of Kanchipuram interpreted in a lightweight construction.
Blouse Piece Included: 0.8 m running blouse piece. See our Blouse Stitching Guide.
