Royal Purple & Orchid Pink Handwoven Pure Silk Kanjeevaram Butta Saree with Rudraksham Border
Royal Purple & Orchid Pink Handwoven Pure Silk Kanjeevaram Butta Saree with Rudraksham Border
A beautiful purple, rich as twilight settling over the temple towers of Kanchipuram. This handwoven Kanjeevaram carries a wonderful depth of colour, its regal violet silk interrupted only by the gentle sparkle of delicately placed gold zari buttas.
❖ This saree was woven over 14 days on the loom in Kanchipuram, using Silk Mark certified pure silk, by weaver families whose craft has been passed down for generations.

Across the smooth body, petite zari motifs are positioned at graceful intervals, introducing little points of golden light. Their simplicity allows the magnificent colour of the silk to take centre stage, while the repeated motifs bring a quiet rhythm to the composition.
The border is a lovely contrast in luminous orchid pink, touched with lavender. Delicate gold zari bands, traditional Rudraksham ornamentation and finely arranged decorative elements bring richness without heaviness. The combination of deep purple and lighter orchid pink has a beautiful tonal harmony, as though two shades of the same evening sky were woven together.
The pallu reveals an altogether more intricate character. A magnificent grid-lattice zari field unfolds across the contrasting pink-purple silk, with closely repeated miniature geometric and floral arrangements. Every little square is carefully articulated, giving the surface the appearance of an intricately patterned piece of gold filigree.
The richness of the pallu provides a wonderful contrast to the restrained buttas of the body. It is a saree of beautiful balance: vivid colour, delicate ornament and finely worked traditional zari.
Styling note: Particularly elegant with a simple purple blouse, a contrasting orchid-pink blouse or antique-gold jewellery. A lovely choice for festive celebrations, Diwali gatherings and family occasions.
