Structured as a classic Butta composition, this pure mulberry silk Kanjipuram saree features small woven peacock buttas set far apart across the saturated cobalt-blue ground. A saree of this type typically represents approximately 16 or more active days on the loom, with exact weaving time varying according to the individual saree. Handwoven by artisan weaver families in Kanchipuram district, Tamil Nadu, for Idam Living. Read our story.

Border: A deep plum-aubergine border with a generous gold zari field of peacock forms, curving floral scrolls and closely woven decorative lines.

Pallu: An ornate pallu, traditionally patterned in the Kanchipuram manner.

Styling: Try a plum silk blouse with a clean jewel neckline, or an antique-gold blouse with restrained sleeves. Wear with uncut-polki-style earrings or a classic gold necklace, never both at full volume. It suits Deepavali family evenings, temple celebrations, wedding ceremonies and Margazhi music events.
