Border: The checks lead into a coloured silk edge with warm metallic-zari accents; the principal emphasis is on the complex checked body and contrast pallu.

Pallu: Raspberry pink with a distinct reddish shot, covered in intricate gold zari lattice and closely repeated woven details that catch the light as the cloth moves.

Styling: A raspberry-pink blouse with a small gold sleeve border will echo the pallu. For greater contrast, choose forest green or a restrained mustard blouse. Antique-gold jhumkas, a low braid and a neatly pleated front will keep the distinctive Elephant and Gandaberunda checks clearly visible.
