Peach and Purple Handwoven Pure Silk Kanjivaram Vairaoosi Saree with Vermilion Red Zari Border
Peach and Purple Handwoven Pure Silk Kanjivaram Vairaoosi Saree with Vermilion Red Zari Border
Peach silk holds the softness of a Kanchipuram dawn, touched by the faint gold of first sunlight. Fine purple and gold lines follow one another across the body, before the colour turns suddenly to vermilion red at the border.
❖ Made to order, not off a shelf. This saree spent roughly 20 active days on the loom, in addition to dyeing, threading and finishing.

The Vairaoosi body is traced with needle-fine, parallel silk and zari lines that let the peach and Oodha-purple shades glow rather than compete. Gold filaments lend the stripes a quiet gleam, and spaced Chen buttas give the body moments of ornament within its finely ordered pattern. Handwoven by artisan weaver families in Kanchipuram district, Tamil Nadu, for Idam Living. A saree of this complexity represents approximately 20 or more active days on the loom, with exact weaving time varying according to the individual saree. Read our story.
Border: Vermilion red rises at the edge like a fresh kumkum mark, held between bands of glowing gold zari. Along the border, kodi butta motifs and Banarasi-inspired floral ornament unfold in richly woven rows, giving the delicate peach-and-purple body a deeply traditional frame.
Pallu: The pallu opens into coppery red and gold, where the zari forms an intricate lattice enlivened by Rudhraksham motifs. Its dense, glimmering work feels like lamplight caught in silk, providing a generous finish to the fine Vairaoosi stripes.
Styling: A vermilion-red blouse makes the border feel deliberate, while a muted gold blouse keeps the palette gentle. Choose antique gold earrings, a delicate chain and a neatly draped pallu so the rich lattice work becomes the finishing feature.
Beautiful for Navratri prayers, Vijayadashami family gatherings, Diwali hosting and intimate wedding ceremonies.
