Luminous Leaf Green & Maroon Handwoven Pure Silk Kanjivaram Zari Kattam Saree with Peacock and Rudraksham Border

Luminous Leaf Green & Maroon Handwoven Pure Silk Kanjivaram Zari Kattam Saree with Peacock and Rudraksham Border

As fresh as young mango leaves catching the morning sun, this luminous green Kanjivaram silk is alive with tiny squares of gold. The Zari Kattam body is an exquisite study in repetition and light, with delicate zari lines crossing the green silk to create a finely measured, almost sparkling surface. With movement, the little squares appear to brighten and soften, giving the entire saree a wonderful sense of radiance.

❖ This saree was woven over 16 days on the loom in Kanchipuram, using Silk Mark certified pure silk, by weaver families whose craft has been passed down for generations.

The vibrant green meets a deep, richly coloured maroon-red border, its warmth recalling the traditional jewel tones of Kanchipuram. Intricate gold zari introduces peacock motifs, Rudraksham Pet and Maanga Pet detailing, layered with the unmistakable ornamentation of a classic Kanjivaram. The contrast is striking yet wonderfully harmonious.

The pallu is a magnificent continuation of this traditional vocabulary. Broad, beautifully woven gold zari bands are enriched by Kamalam buttas and delicate ornamental arrangements, creating a rich ceremonial finish to the saree.

There is a lovely freshness to this colour combination: the brightness of living green, the depth of maroon silk and the quiet fire of gold zari. A richly traditional Kanchipuram with a youthful and celebratory spirit.

Styling note: Beautiful with an antique-gold blouse or a matching deep-maroon silk blouse, complemented by traditional gold jewellery. Especially lovely for festive gatherings, Diwali celebrations and wedding occasions.
