Pure mulberry silk is woven here in a classic Butta composition, with tiny golden peacock buttas arranged in an elegant measured pattern across the smoky violet body. A saree of this type typically represents approximately 16 or more active days on the loom, with exact weaving time varying according to the individual saree. Handwoven by artisan weaver families in Kanchipuram district, Tamil Nadu, for Idam Living. Read our story.
