Mist Grey Handwoven Pure Silk Kanchipuram Zari Kattam Saree with Blush Peach Border
Mist Grey Handwoven Pure Silk Kanchipuram Zari Kattam Saree with Blush Peach Border
Like a pale morning sky seen through the first peach blossoms, this Kanchipuram brings mist-grey silk together with a delicate blush-peach contrast. Fine zari checks catch the light quietly until the generous antique-gold border and richly drawn pallu unfold.
❖ Made to order, not off a shelf. This saree spent roughly 16 active days on the loom, in addition to dyeing, threading and finishing.

The Zari Kattam body is woven as a fine, even lattice of gleaming gold zari over cool mist-grey silk. Around the checked field, blush-peach sections hold petite Mayil Chakram buttas, lending the composition a measured rhythm of small round motifs against the silk. Handwoven by artisan weaver families in Kanchipuram district, Tamil Nadu, for Idam Living. A saree of this complexity represents approximately 16 or more active days on the loom, with exact weaving time varying according to the individual saree. Read our story.
Border: The broad peach border is assembled from carefully spaced, stacked Kanchipuram registers, moving from delicate geometric edging to dense antique-gold brocade with stylised birds and curling floral forms. The pale colour keeps the ornament expressive without appearing heavy.
Pallu: The peach pallu opens into lengths of finely differentiated vertical zari stripes and intricate floral-geometric bands. A generous brocade panel at the edge brings the full gold character of the saree into view.
Styling: Pair the grey-and-peach palette with a dove-grey silk blouse for a tonal look, or use muted rose for a softer contrast. Pearl drops, brushed-gold bangles and a low knot of hair allow the zari to stand out; a narrow peach blouse sleeve would echo the border beautifully.
Occasions: A thoughtful choice for Diwali family gatherings, an intimate wedding ceremony, classical-music evenings or a winter celebration where pale silk and warm zari feel especially graceful.
