Deep Emerald Green & Misty Sage Thazampoo Reku Korvai Kanchipuram Silk Saree

Deep Emerald Green & Misty Sage Thazampoo Reku Korvai Kanchipuram Silk Saree

Somewhere in the temple gardens of Kanchipuram, emerald water rests beneath old trees while the first light of morning settles on pale green leaves. This handwoven Pure Silk Kanchipuram saree brings that meeting of colour to deep emerald green and misty sage, woven in a dramatic Thazampoo Reku Korvai design.

❖ This saree spent 20 days on the loom in Kanchipuram, woven in certified pure silk by artisans who learned the craft from their elders.

Body and border woven separately and structurally interlocked on the loom defines Korvai weaving. In this saree, deep emerald green and pale misty sage meet through elongated Thazampoo Reku peaks, inspired by the slender petals of the fragrant thazhampoo flower and the gopurams of South Indian temples. A saree of this type represents approximately 20 active days on the loom, although individual weaving time varies. Woven for Idam Living by skilled artisan families in the Kanchipuram district of Tamil Nadu. Read our story.

Border: Dramatic emerald green triangular forms extend into the pale misty sage silk, their tapered edges rising and falling like a procession of temple gopurams, joined through traditional Korvai interlocking. Fine horizontal silk textures give the misty sage a soft, watery luminosity. Explore the Korvai collection, or browse the wider pure silk Kanchipuram collection for more of this character.

Pallu: A rich emerald green pallu carries slim pale sage vertical woven lines and a long pale sage geometric panel, continuing the border design with restrained ornament and a quiet architectural rhythm.

Styling: A deep emerald silk blouse gives a coordinated monochrome look, a soft silver sage blouse a gentle tonal contrast, and antique gold or muted champagne a festive warmth. Pair with antique gold temple jewellery or pearls. A fine choice for weddings, temple celebrations, Karthigai Deepam, Margazhi gatherings and Pongal.

Slight color variations due to screen and lighting; daylight photos/videos available on request.
