Deep Violet Handwoven Pure Silk Kanjivaram Saree with Emerald Green 3gm Pure Zari Border
Deep Violet Handwoven Pure Silk Kanjivaram Saree with Emerald Green 3gm Pure Zari Border
Deep violet silk and dark emerald green create a beautifully grounded Kanjivaram palette, enriched by the warmer glow of 3gm pure zari. Alternating Mayil and Chakram buttas punctuate the body with small traditional forms, while the green border and densely woven pallu give the saree the visual depth of a ceremonial heirloom.
❖ Made to order, not off a shelf. This saree spent roughly 14 active days on the loom, in addition to dyeing, threading and finishing.

Woven as a Butta Kanjivaram, the open violet body carries alternating Mayil and Chakram motifs in 3gm pure zari. Their measured spacing keeps the body calm while allowing each traditional form to register clearly. Handwoven by artisan weaver families in Kanchipuram district, Tamil Nadu, for Idam Living. A saree of this complexity represents approximately 14 or more active days on the loom, with exact weaving time varying according to the individual saree. Read our story.
Border: A dark emerald-green silk border frames the violet body with lustrous pure zari, creating a traditional jewel-toned contrast that feels rich without becoming visually crowded.
Pallu: The emerald-green pallu is densely woven with gold zari in a fine geometric field and ornamental side registers, giving the saree a dramatic finish over the shoulder.
Styling: Pair with antique-gold jewellery, emerald bangles or a single statement kada. A centre-parted low bun and warm neutral makeup keep the effect classic. The saree works beautifully for weddings, Deepavali, temple ceremonies and evening cultural gatherings.
