This Kanchipuram's pure mulberry silk body is woven in a classic Varisaipet composition. Traditional multi-band border structure with repeated woven lines. A saree of this type typically represents approximately 16 active days on the loom, although individual weaving time varies. The border is woven with silk-thread interwoven zari and arranged in stacked layers of arai maadam, mayil motif, Yazhi, kamalam, vanki pet and neli zari. The pallu continues this layered design language, giving the saree a full, composed finish that sits beautifully within traditional Kanchipuram dressing.
