This radiant pink and maroon Kanchipuram is woven in the Rettapet tradition — twin parallel border lines creating a balanced layered edge — the Ganga Jamuna border carrying contrasting dark purple and antique maroon on either side in one of Kanchipuram's most celebrated colour combinations.

The body is woven in luminous radiant pink pure mulberry silk, scattered with delicate gold zari Mayil buttas — peacock motifs that catch light as the fabric moves. The border runs in a deep Ganga Jamuna composition — one edge in rich dark purple, the other in antique maroon — both dense with gold zari floral and peacock motifs woven in layered bands. The pallu continues this heritage palette with heavy gold zari weave across maroon and purple grounds.
