Mustard Yellow Handwoven Pure Silk Kanjivaram Zari Kattam Saree with Coffee Brown Peacock Border
Mustard Yellow Handwoven Pure Silk Kanjivaram Zari Kattam Saree with Coffee Brown Peacock Border
Golden mustard silk carries a fine Zari Kattam check, set with sparing gold buttas that catch the light. The weave deepens at the border into rich coffee-brown, where peacock figures and floral vines rise in gold zari, edged by a narrow deep-green selvedge. The pallu continues in coffee-brown, dense with gold geometric patterning, its yellow tassels finishing the drape.
❖ Made to order, not off a shelf. This saree spent roughly 16 active days on the loom, in addition to dyeing, threading and finishing.

Handwoven by artisan weaver families in Kanchipuram district, Tamil Nadu, for Idam Living. A saree of this complexity represents approximately 16 or more active days on the loom, with exact weaving time varying according to the individual saree. Read our story.
Border: Wide deep coffee-brown band with large repeated stylised peacock figures and floral vines in gold zari, finished with a visibly narrow deep-green selvedge.
Pallu: Coffee-brown pallu with a dense gold geometric field, decorative bird-and-floral vertical register, fine linear zari section and yellow tassels visible in the supplied photograph.
Styling: Let the mustard silk lead with a plain coffee-brown blouse and small gold temple earrings. For a more contemporary contrast, try a deep forest-green blouse that picks up the narrow selvedge. The yellow tassels can remain visible at the shoulder.
A considered choice for autumn Navratri pujas, Vijayadashami gatherings and Deepavali family celebrations, as well as daytime ceremonies and wedding functions.
