Fresh Leaf Green Handwoven Pure Silk Kanchi Pattu Saree with Korvai Silver-Ivory Border

Fresh Leaf Green Handwoven Pure Silk Kanchi Pattu Saree with Korvai Silver-Ivory Border

A Carnatic music kutcheri at a desi sabha calls for a saree that sits comfortably through a long concert, and this Fresh Leaf Green Pure Silk Kanchi Pattu saree is easy and elegant for exactly that. Body and border are woven separately and structurally interlocked on the loom — the defining construction of Korvai weaving. Each saree involves two separate weaving processes, taking 45 days from dyeing to weaving, and cannot be replicated by machine. Handcrafted by skilled artisans in Kunnam village in Kanchipuram district. Read our story.

❖ Handwoven to order, not mass-produced.

Handwoven to order over 45 days — dyeing through to the final weave, no two pieces identical.

The body is fresh leaf-green, in pure mulberry silk, scattered with gold zari buttas. Discover more Korvai Kanchipuram silks.

The pale silver-ivory Korvai border is woven with traditional gold zari motifs, continuing into the pallu — a light, unexpected border pairing that keeps the whole saree feeling easy rather than heavy.

Styling Tip

Anchor this fresh, light-toned saree with a sophisticated darker blouse — a deep bottle green or charcoal works well — for grounding contrast. Silver or diamond studs pick up the cool tone of the border, keeping the whole look composed for a long seated concert.

Blouse Piece Included: 0.8m self-colour fresh green silk. Complimentary custom stitching through Aug 27 ($30 value) — see our Blouse Stitching Guide.

What is Korvai weaving?
Korvai is a Kanchipuram technique where the body and border are woven separately, on different looms, and then structurally interlocked together — allowing a cool, unexpected border colour like silver-grey against a green body.
Why pair fresh green with a silver-grey border?
A pale, cool-toned border keeps a bright body colour feeling light and modern rather than heavy, while still carrying the traditional gold zari motifs.
What occasions suit a Fresh Leaf Green Kanchipuram saree?
Its light, easy colour makes it a comfortable choice for concerts, cultural programmes, and daytime events where you'll be seated for a while.
Do you ship to the USA and how long does it take?
Yes — we ship free across the USA. Orders are dispatched within two weeks with tracking provided, and every saree includes complimentary Fall & Pico finishing plus a custom-stitched blouse through Aug 27.
