Emerald Green Handwoven Pure Silk Kanjeevaram Saree with Raspberry Pink Mayil Korvai Border
Emerald Green Handwoven Pure Silk Kanjeevaram Saree with Raspberry Pink Mayil Korvai Border
For a Durga Puja pandal — the Bengali community's grandest cultural and religious event in the USA — this beautifully composed pure silk Kanchipuram saree is woven in the Korvai style. Body and border woven separately and structurally interlocked on the loom. Each saree takes 45 days from dyeing to weaving and cannot be replicated by machine. Woven with care by our family's artisan partners in Kunnam village in Kanchipuram district. Read our story.
❖ Handwoven to order, not mass-produced. Nothing here comes off a shelf. 45 days of dyeing, threading, and weaving go into every saree, 20 days of that on the loom.

The deep emerald-green body carries alternating round medallion and stylised floral zari buttas, each compact motif glowing against the saturated silk — their rounded forms deliberately spaced, allowing the lustrous emerald field to remain beautifully visible.
The statement raspberry-pink Korvai border is richly woven with large Mayil-inspired peacock forms in gold zari, followed by a dense geometric lattice of tiny diamond-shaped zari elements — the contrast of emerald, raspberry and antique-gold gives the saree a wonderfully celebratory presence.
Styling Tip
Let the raspberry-pink Mayil border take the lead — a tonal emerald blouse keeps the body quiet, with antique-gold jhumkas echoing the peacock motifs. An open pallu displays the geometric lattice and gold zari work fully across the shoulder.
Blouse Piece Included: 0.8m self-colour emerald-green piece, with complimentary tailoring through August 27 ($30 value). See our Blouse Stitching Guide.
