Sage Green and Deep Red Handwoven Pure Silk Kanjipuram Saree with Yaanai Ambari Butta and Vanasringaram Border
Sage Green and Deep Red Handwoven Pure Silk Kanjipuram Saree with Yaanai Ambari Butta and Vanasringaram Border
This sage green and deep red Kanjipuram is woven with the Butta tradition — individually woven motifs placed at measured intervals across the silk body — here the Yaanai Ambari Butta, ornate elephant procession motifs in gold zari, each woven thread by thread on a traditional pit loom. Handwoven by artisan weaver families in Kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu. Silk Mark certified.
The body is woven in a serene sage green with handwoven Yaanai Ambari Butta in gold zari scattered rhythmically across the field, each butta depicting an elephant in ceremonial ambari regalia. The wide deep red border and pallu carry the full grandeur of Vanasringaram in gold zari — a saree suited for classical dance performances, temple visits, weddings, and cultural milestone celebrations.
A sage green Kanjipuram with deep red Vanasringaram border pairs best with a deep red silk blouse to mirror the border fully. A forest green or ivory raw silk blouse also works beautifully for a softer look. Explore our full range of pure silk Kanchipuram sarees. Also handwoven in the Kanchipuram tradition: Korvai silk sarees, Vairaoosi silk sarees, and Zari Kattam silk sarees.
