16 Days on Loom
Pure Mulberry Silk
Handwoven in Kanchipuram
A Zari Kattam saree: closely spaced zari kattam forms delicate checks across the royal-blue body, with dispersed petite paisley or maanga-shaped buttas. Handwoven by artisan weaver families in Kanchipuram district, Tamil Nadu, for Idam Living. A saree of this complexity represents approximately 16 active days on the loom, with exact weaving time varying according to the individual saree. Read our story.
Border A radiant magenta border carrying a gold-toned frieze of stylised animal and floral forms, including figures resembling elephants and yali-like creatures, finished with a dark-green selvedge.
Pallu A radiant magenta pallu densely woven with a gold-toned diamond lattice and small repeating floral and geometric units, ending in an ornamental figurative border.
Styling Style with a complementary pure silk blouse or a quiet solid blouse to let the border remain the focal point. For temple celebrations, weddings, cultural gatherings and family festivities, choose traditional gold-toned jewellery or understated heirloom pieces.
