Olive Green and Deep Red Handwoven Pure Silk KanchiPattu Saree with Yaanai Ambari Butta and Vanasringaram Border
Olive Green and Deep Red Handwoven Pure Silk KanchiPattu Saree with Yaanai Ambari Butta and Vanasringaram Border
This olive green and deep red KanchiPattu is woven with the Butta tradition — individually woven motifs placed at measured intervals across the silk body — here the Yaanai Ambari Butta, ornate elephant procession motifs in gold zari, each woven thread by thread on a traditional pit loom. Handwoven by artisan weaver families in Kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu. Silk Mark certified.
The body is woven in a rich olive green with handwoven Yaanai Ambari Butta in gold zari placed rhythmically across the field, each butta depicting an elephant in ceremonial ambari regalia. The wide deep red border and pallu carry the full grandeur of Vanasringaram in gold zari — a saree suited for housewarmings, Pongal celebrations, temple visits, and new beginnings.
An olive green KanchiPattu with deep red Vanasringaram border pairs best with a deep red silk blouse to anchor the border. An antique gold or mustard silk blouse also works beautifully to complement the olive body. Explore our full range of pure silk Kanchipuram sarees. Also handwoven in the Kanchipuram tradition: Korvai silk sarees, Vairaoosi silk sarees, and Zari Kattam silk sarees.
