Natural Wheat and Deep Red Handwoven Pure Silk Kanjivaram Saree with Korvai Pillayar Reku Border
Natural Wheat and Deep Red Handwoven Pure Silk Kanjivaram Saree with Korvai Pillayar Reku Border
This natural wheat and deep red Kanjivaram is woven in the Korvai tradition — body and border woven separately and structurally interlocked on the loom, producing a seamless junction between contrasting sections. Handwoven by artisan weaver families in Kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu. Silk Mark certified.
The natural wheat body in pure mulberry silk is plain and self-sufficient — carrying the warmth of undyed mulberry silk allowed to speak for itself. The Pillayar Reku at the border transition — the woven representation of Ganesha's form as an upward-pointing flame — announces the deep red border, which carries Varisaipet lines and a green accent at the outer edge. A saree suited for Vinayaka Chaturthi, Seemantham, temple ceremonies, and Tamil Brahmin wedding occasions.
A natural wheat Korvai Kanjivaram with deep red Pillayar Reku border pairs best with a deep red silk blouse with gold zari. A natural wheat or champagne blouse creates a tone-on-tone body look that lets the border stand alone. Explore our full range of handwoven Korvai Kanchipuram silk sarees.
