Deep Plum Handwoven Pure Silk Kancheepuram Saree with Kili Butta

Deep Plum Handwoven Pure Silk Kancheepuram Saree with Kili Butta

This deep plum Kancheepuram is woven in the Lightweight Kanchipuram tradition — woven using finer 2-ply and 3-ply mulberry silk yarns, retaining the same craft, looms, and Silk Mark certification while offering a lighter, more fluid weight. Handwoven by artisan weaver families in Kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu. Silk Mark certified.

The deep plum body in pure finer-ply mulberry silk carries gold zari Kili butta and small floral medallion butta scattered in alternating pairs — warm gold against deep plum creating a surface of understated richness. The magenta border carries a broad gold zari Yaanai and temple motif composition — a saree suited for naming ceremonies, daytime weddings, temple visits, and all-day festive occasions.

A deep plum lightweight Kancheepuram pairs best with a magenta silk blouse to mirror the border. An antique gold or ivory raw silk blouse also works beautifully for a more neutral look. Explore our full range of handwoven lightweight Kanchipuram silk sarees. Also handwoven in the Kanchipuram tradition: Korvai silk sarees, Vairaoosi silk sarees, and our full range of pure silk Kanchipuram sarees.
