Deep Maroon Handwoven Pure Silk Kanjivaram Saree with Kili Butta
Deep Maroon Handwoven Pure Silk Kanjivaram Saree with Kili Butta
This deep maroon Kanjivaram is woven in the Lightweight Kanchipuram tradition — woven using finer 2-ply and 3-ply mulberry silk yarns, retaining the same craft, looms, and Silk Mark certification while offering a lighter, more fluid weight. Handwoven by artisan weaver families in Kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu. Silk Mark certified.
The deep maroon body in pure finer-ply mulberry silk carries gold zari Kili butta and small flower medallion butta scattered in alternating pairs, the warm gold against the deep maroon glowing with quiet ember-like richness. The magenta border carries a broad gold zari floral and scroll temple composition — a saree suited for mehendi nights, daytime weddings, naming ceremonies, and full-day festive occasions.
A deep maroon lightweight Kanjivaram pairs best with a magenta silk blouse to mirror the border fully. An antique gold or ivory raw silk blouse also works beautifully against the maroon body for a more restrained ceremonial look. Explore our full range of handwoven lightweight Kanchipuram silk sarees. Also handwoven in the Kanchipuram tradition: Korvai silk sarees, Vairaoosi silk sarees, and our full range of pure silk Kanchipuram sarees.
