Rust Orange and Bottle Green Paisley Butta Pure Silk Kanchipuram Saree
A burnished rust orange glows through this handwoven pure silk Kanchipuram like evening light resting on temple terracotta. Woven in a dense, radiant Kanchi silk, the saree has the rich weight, luminous surface, and unmistakable body that give a true Kanchivaram its presence.
❖ This saree was woven over 16 days on the loom in Kanchipuram, using Silk Mark certified pure silk, by weaver families whose craft has been passed down for generations.

This Kanchipuram silk saree is woven in a classic Butta composition in pure mulberry silk, with small zari buttas across the warm rust orange body. Handwoven by artisan weaver families in Kanchipuram district, Tamil Nadu, for Idam Living. A saree of this complexity represents approximately 16 or more active days on the loom, with exact weaving time varying according to the individual saree. Read our story.
Small zari buttas are scattered across the body, adding gentle points of light to the warm silk ground. The border is richly detailed with elegant paisley motifs, framed by a deep bottle-green contrast that sharpens the entire colour story with the freshness of rain-soaked leaves against sun-warmed earth.
The pallu is ornate and celebratory, woven with a peacock-grid arrangement, kamalam details, and a beautiful interplay of zari and silk thread work. Altogether, it has the fullness and grandeur expected of a festive Kanchipuram while still feeling refined and easy to style.
Styling: Style it with a classic bottle-green or antique-gold blouse and temple jewellery for weddings, festive gatherings, Navratri evenings, Diwali hosting, or a special family celebration.
