Muted Aubergine & Burnished Orange Pure Silk Kanjipuram Butta Saree with Ornate Floral Motifs

The palette is unusual and beautifully softened: muted aubergine-purple with dusky plum undertones, set against a broad burnished-orange border and the mellow glow of antique-gold zari.

Small zari buttas are scattered with generous space across the body. Between them appear much larger ornate Mughal-inspired floral motifs, elaborate medallion-like forms whose scale transforms the otherwise restrained field.

The contrast between tiny butta and oversized floral ornament gives the saree its character: quiet from a distance, extraordinarily detailed when seen closely.

The pallu develops this richness further through a diamond zari lattice, arranged with peacock detailing and finely worked ornamental passages. The geometry of the lattice gives structure to the more fluid floral and avian motifs.
