Crimson Rose Red Handwoven Pure Silk Kanjipuram Butta Saree with Gold Zari and Green Edge
Crimson Rose Red Handwoven Pure Silk Kanjipuram Butta Saree with Gold Zari and Green Edge
An intimate shade of rose-crimson, like the last warm flush of a pomegranate flower, scattered with tiny sparks of gold. The Butta composition keeps the silk open and spacious with little gold leaf-like motifs arranged in a measured, repeating order.
❖ Handwoven in Kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu — this saree spent 16 days on the loom, woven by artisan families who have practiced this craft for generations.

Woven in the Butta tradition, A lustrous deep crimson-rose body decorated with petite, evenly spaced leaf-like gold zari buttas, leaving generous areas of plain silk between motifs. Handwoven by artisan weaver families in Kanchipuram district, Tamil Nadu, for Idam Living. A saree of this complexity represents approximately 16 or more active days on the loom, with exact weaving time varying according to the individual saree. Read our story.
Border: A comparatively slender gold zari border made of little leaf-like forms, fine stripes and compact geometric registers, kept narrower than the grand pallu.
Pallu: A radiant dense gold zari diamond-lattice pallu bordered by repeating floral medallions and small figurative forms, with a slender emerald-green accent at the terminal edge.
Styling: A matching crimson blouse keeps the delicate buttas in focus; a small emerald-green piping detail offers a beautiful nod to the pallu edge. Wear with an antique-gold chain, ruby-toned earrings or a single bangle for Diwali lunches, temple visits and intimate winter celebrations.
